Agreement to Terms

By using this website, placing an order, or requesting services from 5280 Apiaries, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website or purchase products or services from us.

Nature of Our Business

5280 Apiaries is a beekeeper-operated agricultural business. Honey bees are living livestock, and conditions such as weather, forage availability, and seasonal variation may affect timing, availability, and outcomes. Neglect will kill these small friends; neglect is not a reason to disagree with our products.

We make every effort to provide strong, healthy colonies and honest service, but biological systems cannot be guaranteed in the same way as manufactured products.

Orders & Reservations

Deposits may be required to reserve nucleus hives or other services.
Reservations secure a place in our production schedule but do not guarantee a specific calendar date, as pickup timing depends on weather and colony readiness.

Details regarding refunds and cancellations are outlined in our Refund Policy.

Pickup & Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Arriving within the scheduled pickup window

  • Providing appropriate transportation and equipment for live bees

  • Following safe handling practices

Once bees leave our possession, responsibility transfers to the customer. We cannot control hive management, weather exposure, or handling after pickup.

Pollination Services

Pollination services are arranged through direct communication and written agreements.
Availability, deployment schedules, and colony strength expectations may vary depending on crop, location, and season.

Quotes provided through email or consultation are not binding contracts unless confirmed in writing by both parties.

Website Content

All information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes.
While we strive for accuracy, content may change without notice due to evolving beekeeping practices or seasonal conditions.

Intellectual Property

Images, logos, and written content on this site belong to 5280 Apiaries unless otherwise noted.
Please do not reproduce or reuse materials without permission.

Limitation of Liability

5280 Apiaries is not liable for losses or damages resulting from:

  • Improper hive management after transfer

  • Environmental conditions outside our control

  • Agricultural or seasonal variability

Our responsibility is limited to the value of the product or service purchased.

Communication

Health & Safety Notice

Honey bees can sting. Individuals with known allergies to bee stings should take appropriate precautions and consult a medical professional before handling bees or visiting an apiary.

By purchasing or picking up bees from 5280 Apiaries, customers acknowledge the natural risks associated with working around live honey bees.

Visitors and customers are responsible for their own protective equipment and medical preparedness. 5280 Apiaries cannot assume responsibility for allergic reactions or medical emergencies that occur after voluntary interaction with bees.

We encourage open communication — if you have concerns about safety or exposure, please contact us before pickup so we can help plan appropriately.

We are beekeepers, not lawyers.
If you have a concern, please contact us directly so we can work toward a reasonable solution whenever possible.
