Queen Bees, Bee Packages, Beekeeping Equipment

What Happens After You Buy.
Your Reservation Is Locked In
Once your deposit is placed, your hive reservation is secured on the truck. I will then build your hive personally and account for it as she grows, specifically for you.
Pickup Timing & Communication
About two weeks before your scheduled pickup date, you’ll receive an email with a more accurate pickup window and location based on weather and hive growth.
That window will be confirmed through another email and finalized one week out, so you’re not guessing or rearranging your schedule at the last minute.

Pickup Day: What to Expect
On pickup day, we’ll meet in the morning at the designated pickup location.
We’ll be set up:
-
In the shade
-
With misters running to keep the bees cool and calm
-
With everything staged to make pickup smooth and stress-free
This is also your chance to ask questions, pick out your hive, and get last-minute guidance before heading home.
Final Payment
If there is a remaining balance for your nucleus hive, that will be finalized on location.
We accept:
-
Zelle
-
Cash
-
Credit card
-
Venmo

Packing materials
Available onsite to help secure your hive in a car or truck for the drive home. Bring some leather gloves and your bee suit just incase!
Heading Home
From there, you’ll take your hive to its new home and begin your first season with bees.
And remember — when you buy from 5280 Apiaries, you’re not just getting bees. You’re getting support, experience, and someone you can call when questions come up.
If this is your first hive, we strongly recommend reviewing our “Start Here: New to Beekeeping” page before pickup.
